Hello! That’s me, Ryan.
While I call myself a photographer, I don’t quite see myself as one. Or rather, it’s not all I see myself as.
First and foremost, I’m obsessed with nature, adventure, and exploration - often living out of a backpack, ready to cast myself to the middle of nowhere at a moment’s notice. On the other hand, separating me from my computers and other toys when I’m home from these trips can also prove a significant challenge.
The camera fits somewhere between; an extension of my interest in technology, and an accompaniment to my outdoorsy lifestyle.
On my other channels, my efforts are more “serious” - focused entirely on conservation and art. You can learn more about my work on my website, Threads, or Instagram.
With RAWTalk, I’d like to lean into all my other passions and interests outside of nature. I’ll be sharing all the typical stuff - BTS of my work, tutorials, reviews, and all that. But I’ll also be taking discussions further and really just get some conversation about art, life, technology, nature, or whatever else is on my mind going.
Really, I’d just like to write more. It’s something I’ve wanted to do, but never seriously thought about, so forgive me as I’m still figuring it all out. I hope you’ll join me on this journey.

While I do offer paid subscriptions, the main reason goes back to why I started doing all this in the first place - my love for nature. Nature has done a lot for me. More than I could ever repay it for. The time I’ve spent listening to leaves rustling, birds calling, waves crashing, and elephants trumpeting are the moments I’ve found that make my life worth living.
In an effort to give back to the world that gives my work meaning, 50% of all profits from every tier of membership will be donated to an organization or charity that aligns with my goals on wildlife conservation or ecological preservation.
Paid Subscribers and Founding Members do get some extra stuff, like wallpapers and critique sessions. But, I often give away prints on Threads/Instagram, and my email/DMs are always open to questions. So, really; don’t feel like you’re missing out on much if you’re not paying.
